Dear Xavier’s alumni,

The Management and Principal, on behalf of our teaching and non-teaching Staff, take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a Happy Feast, as we remember the founder of the Jesuits, St. Ignatius of Loyola, on the 31st of July, 2020.

If you remember, we used to have a Feast Mass, followed by a light brunch and a brief cultural and scholarship distribution programme. The Feast Mass this year will be celebrated by Fr Errol Fernandes, SJ, who was associated with the Commerce Section for several years, and will be retiring next month. The link for the recorded Mass, is shared with you below.

FEAST MASS - 31st July 2020

The Principal, Dr. Rajendra Shinde, would like to greet you on this occasion:

Dr. Shinde has also composed a message, especially about major college developments over the past year:

As Rector of the College and Director of the Xavier Development Programme [XDP], I would like to offer a few words of affectionate greeting on the occasion of this Feast

The college would like to engage with our alumni in a more concerted manner this year, and in the years to come. A few desirable and tangible steps forward:

  1. A renewal and regularization of the alumni association. The association could coordinate specific alumni activities.

  2. A regular e-newsletter, updating the alumni about various happenings and projects on campus.

  3. Renovation and updating of the alumni website. This will include information about upcoming events.

  4. Batch-wise anniversary celebrations, most likely for the 10th and 25th anniversaries of graduation. We will need “batch champions” to lead and coordinate the organization of these events.

  5. The formal establishment of various “Alumni Chapters” all across the world. We will need local leaders to sustain these efforts.

Kindly complete your registration on the Alumni website and encourage your classmates and other Xavierites to do the same.

With warm wishes, and blessings on this festive occasion!

Fr. Keith D’Souza, SJ
